Trans leak

Default Trans leak

removed pan cleaned and got new gasket this last fall...now leaking again and can't seem to stop it..gasket is pushing out the sides the more you tighten the more it leaks...any suggestions snow storm comming need the fwd..

Did you use a cork gasket and tighten the bolts to specs?

Overtightening will cause it to leak quicker.

If you over torqued the bolts the gasket couldleak. On pan gaskets, I put a bead of RTV down on the pan to keep the gasket in place then put another bead on top of the gasket before bolting it up.

In addition use a rubber gasket thats what usually comes with the filter kit.
