Electrical Problem. Help Plz
Power wire to the stereo (main power (constant from battery), not ignition power) and cigarrette lighter are not working. I checked the fuse and it was good. It's a 15 amp fuse. Even put a 3 amp in to see if it would blow, and nothing. Absolutely no power going through the fuse.
Where do I look next to troubleshoot this problem. Also, my interior lights don't work, but I'm not sure if that's the switch, or if it's related to the problem I'm having.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

What do you mean by aftermarket head unit?
I also checked all fuses under the hood and they're all good.
There is also come type of black box right beside the fuse box under the hood. The plug which is supposed to be plugged into is not plugged in. Checked through my Chilton and Haynes manuals, and there is no mention of this black box with the large connector plug (charcoal grey with a blue band around the plug). Anyone know what this plug is for?

Well.... first off.... I plugged that plug in... and my headlights came on. They weren't turned on... the ingition was off.... but whatever was wired into that, turned my headlights on. lol.
Secondly, I've "gerry rigged" my problems. Found a 12v power wire which was wired to some toggle switch. Used that to power my radio and CB.
Because this truck was an MNR truck, it would have had all kinds of gadgets wired up... spot lights, radios, probably some type of laptop computer system hard wired in. Possibly flashing headlights, signals, and brake lights (Much like the old undercover cop cars (before the "in grill" LED's). As well as other emergency marker lights. And may have even had a winching system (for loading/unloading poached big game.).
So the wiring on this thing is just crazy. For some reason, the cruise control was disconnected and used for something else, there's a bundle of wiring that goes into the front grill (separate from headlights, and block heater), but there's no sign of a plow ever being mounted onto the front end.
So I don't really know. I do appreciate all your help, and what I think I'm going to do this summer, is find someone with the same truck, and borrow it for the day so I can compare the wiring.

Look in the Power Distribution Center in the engine compartment(it's the black plastic box on the drivers-side fender well). Check the 5 amp fuse (F2 - it should be tan in color). It's probably blown. Also check the time delay relay on the fuseblock under the dash - it's round and silver and it will be on the right side of the fuse block below the hazard flasher and above the turn signal flasher.
