pulleys and belts

ok i have 1988 3.9l v6 and i was wondering if i could put a wider pulley and belt system on the engine.... does any one know if this colud be done....

It could be done, but you're probably not going to find what you need to easily.

Can I ask why you want to go wider?

i read that it would be better engine response when driving by adding wider belts

I have never heard of wider belts helping. What you want is to go with a pulley kit that changes the diameter of the drive/accessory pulleys. It will slow down all your accessories, though it takes less power to drive them.
