i have heard mention of a motor resistor for the blower that corrodes, i have not had that problem yet so i dont really know where it is. i would look for blown fuses first, then that resistor before buying a new blower. by the way there are origional service manuals for the truck on ebay, just bought one for 9.95 plus shipping

Yes I would more than likely say its theresistors, it costs about 15 bucks at your local dealship. The resistors are located on the passenger side engine compartment firewall, its a rectangular shape witha connector attached to it, and is held in by 2 screws. The resistors are actually housed in the firewall. I would doubt its your blower motor. A quick test for the motoris inside the cab, the motor is on the passenger side under the dash, theres a black and green wire, kinda wrapped around each other with a connection to the motor. Detach it. It hooks to the motor. With thewire coming from the motor, make yourself a ground (I used a test light attached to the door hinge) and touch either the green or black wire which in turn should light up your test light and the motor should turn slowly. Its just a quick test that tells you if the motor is seized. I would almost guarantee the resistors are gone. This happened to me before. Like fishlessman said a repair manual does wonders. Hope this helps

Do you remember the name of the seller on ebay? The only factory service manuals I've seen there are $60 and up plus shipping. I would love to pick on up for $9.95!

This is through the company that makes the book, they want $25 but you should be able to find it cheaper, not sure about the $9.95 price, I think I paid around $15-$16
