Default engine swap

Currently I have a 3.9 auto in my 1990 dak. I am planning on finding another 3.9 with a manual and building it up, then swapping. I'm just looking for some help. I know just swapping in a 318 would be cooler, but I've always wanted to try building a fast v6. I also wouldn't have to swap suspension.

Since the 3.9 is just a shortened block of the 318, will 318 performance parts work? (such as pistons)
Do all 1st gen 3.9's have the same mounts, and will it bolt right in?
Aside from cutting a hole in the floor to fit the stick, will the manual tranny bolt right in?

I appreciate any suggestions or ideas.

Thanks,

try KRCpeformance.com and Socaldakota.comthey have a bunch off stuff for dakotas, the only problem is you dont have a magnum v6, so it may not go as well with power.
