94 Dakota 3.9L WON'T START/ No Power To Fuel Pump...
#52
The coolant temperature sensor tested at about 11k Ohms at 71 degrees and 21k Ohms at 40 degrees which seems to check out.
Thermostat was also ok, but in the process of getting to it I had to remove the ignition coil and I noticed that there was 3 small cracks in the housing. Looked like it had been overtightened at some point.
Picked up a new coil and a thermostat just because and it started back up again. Haven't road tested it yet but it actually warms up with a 192 degree thermostat (the old one said 195 though).
Strange though when it warms up (about 15 minutes at idle) and the thermostat opens the temperature gauge drops to cold again.
I'll take it for a drive tomorrow when I have someone to drag me back home again if it dies.

Well it's been a few days and the Dodge is still running. Everything seems to be fine besides the strange temperature gauge. A good start to the new year.
I will start a new thread if I have to start troubleshooting again.
Thanks again for the help
