Default back leaf springs

im going to to body lift my truck, spacers in the coil springs up front and blocks under the leaf springs in the back. i looked at the leaf springs and found something that i didnt know about my truck, the leaf springs are under my axle. first off is it possibe to put them on top of my axle, secondly is it ok to do that, and thirdly can i do it myself and how do i go about it?

Yea the 2wd has the leaf springs under the axle. The 4x4s have the springs above the axle. It is an easy swap. Just simply put the axle on top. You will only need a spring purch. you can get them anywhere. Here is one. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=skuYou will lift the rear somewhere around 5in. Measure your axle and springs and thats how tall it will lift it. If it is too high try add a leaf. air shocks. air bags. I just added a rams 2500 rear springs. When I did my 4x4 swap I keeped my 2wd axle so I had to do a spring over axle conversion. here is a pic.

ya if you dont mind the look of the rear sticking up. Just measure the axle and springs thickness and get a jack and lift up the rear up (not the axle, Let the springs sag) and lift it up to your measurements.
