RE: removing steering wheel
First disconnect the negative battery cable, this will prevent accidental air bag deployment, wait a few minutes for the air bag capacitor to discharge. Make sure the wheels are pointed straight ahead, remove theair bagmoduleby removing the nuts on the back of the steering wheel, unplugthe electrical connector for theair bag and the horn switch wire as well as the cruise control if you have it, remove the steering wheelretaining nut and mark the position of the wheel to the shaft, this will help if you decide to put this wheel back on. Use a puller to detach the wheel from the shaft, do not use a hammer on the shaft or let the steering shaft turn. You can now install your new steering wheel.
