How to remove the threaded piece in the antenna base isit glue in or what

you can use needle nose pliers to unscrew the cap nut after unscrewing the Antenna mast itself, wrap the pliers in tape so you don't scratch your fender if you slip

SO is the stud glue into the cable because i cant get it out
