My Dakota has a sticker that says charge ac on higher pressure side??
I have a 1995 Dodge Dakota mark III. It has a sticker on the front clip that says that the ac has to be charged on the high preaaure side and has to done by a profesional. Does anybody know if thats true? I never heard of that. I was always told that ac had to charged on the low pressure side.
The high side does have to be charged by a profesional because there is a high pressure pump they use to pump it in. The do sell kits to install it one the low side. That is why everyone says low side.
My husband got a kit to charge it but he says it won't fit the fitting on the tubing mounted on the inside of the right fender. The fitting is to small. He said on closer inspection it looks like both fitting are going to the high pressure side. A larger one closest to the compressor and the smaller one on the inside of the fender. He has charge the ac of three other vehicle's we've owned but he says he ain't no expert. He knows he can't charge it on the high pressure side without the right equipment.
Has anybody out here had any experience with charging the ac on a 95 Dakota. Maybe he's wrong and we're missing something here. Any help would surely be appreciated.

The low pressure connector is on the ac compressor. Its just behind the belt. Here is an old post with pics of locations. Click on the x boxes. This site is still having issues pulling up pics. https://dodgeforum.com/m_953517/tm.htm
Finally! A fellow Mark III owner! I thought I was the only one!
I have a 94 Mark III with the 5.2 and I had mine charged on the low pressure side..inside passenger side fender. You should be safe to do the same I would assume. I don't know why it would need to be charged on the high pressure side, honestly.

i have always charged mine with a set of gauges and vacuum pump so idk, you have both valves open when there is a vacuum and when it is running the high pressuer side is closed or is can blow some stuff up.
