motor for my 99 ram...

Default motor for my 99 ram...

does anyone one know if the motor (5.2/318) out of a 96 dakota will work in my 99 ram... i know it will bolt up and everything fine but i was wondering bout all the sensors and stuff and how much i would have to change over....

I think its all the same aside from rams are front mounted and daks are mid mounted

it is the same thing, i got a 318 out of a ram and it bolted right up

what about all the sensors and stuff like that how much will i have to switch over or will it all pretty much hook up?? i was stupid and had bout 4in of water in my truck and some water got in my motor and now the crank bearings r goin out in it...

It should be a direct bolt in / plug in job. All auto mfg are notorious for cost savings and use the same plugs, sensors, etc. across multiple lines. It would be better to get the engine from the same year as your ram (absolute certainty in install), but there shouldn't be anything to throw you with being that close in year model.
