If the cat was the problem, why would it only occur after the engine heats up?

I have a 94 Dodge Dakota v6 2wd. It is stalling as I take off from a stop or on a hill. Any ideas?

I ended up changing my air filter gasket and idle air control, and that solved the issue for me.

check your transmission fluid, to old or to low will cause this to happen, I couldn't find the source at first but came across it when changing all fluids, hasnt done it ever again after i changed my transmission fluid.

Their post was 14 years old so I suspect he found the problem or the problem found somewhere else to go.
