just wonderding if i need to change driveshafts from a 91 tranny to a 97 360 tranny, if i would have to use the driveshaft from the 360 tranny? and if theirs anything else i would need to know to use off a the vehicle the motor got donated from
It should be the same. But the 97 is electronic controled so remember you keep all wires that go there. The 97 is obd2 wich has alot more electronics to it. Its not impossible but longer. If you trully wanted get the 5.9 and get wires and comp from a pre 96 to get the obd1 which is more like a stand alone engine mangment system.
i think you would. 87-91 have the same u-joints, but i just found out 92-96 and up are different. that means the yokes are different. the spline count is also a factor. check wikipedia, it has a ton of info on tranny and engine types.
is it possible to swap any parts to make it similar to the early 90's style and late 80's to make it any easier for myself so i dont have to take out the dash and strip the whole truck to change to over to a 97 style?
