neutral start safety switch

can any one tell me how to make adjustments to the neutral start safety switch on a 3.9.

The switch it self you can not adjust. Just replace if you havnt already. Or adjust the shift linkage. Are your gears off of the letters like D and drive dont line up.

need to adjust for the back up lights not the gears.was told its done under the stearing colum.
