power programmer?
Does anyone know of a power programmer for a 95 dakota with the 318 that will reprogram the shift points of the transmission, or does nobody make one... orare our transmissions not even electrical
i am not sure about the 95, i dont think it is. i know the 96 is but it is also obd-2. and no one makes a programmer, but you can get a mopar performance comp to help them out.
The 95 tranny is hydrolically controled. You can adjust the TV cable. The Tv cable will help it shift sooner or later. Here is how http://www.v8performance.com/tipsandtricks.htm#TVCable
Transgo makes a shift kit , I have one in my 95 Dakota with a 318 , and with 275/60/15 Cooper Cobras , I chirp second gear loud and hard , and good firm 2-3 shift and when I shift from drive to overdrive , it is very SOLID ! You just have to modify certain points of your valve body when installing the shift kit to achieve this effect . I bought mine off of e-bay for around $30-40 !
