Default oil leak

I own an 87 dakota 4x4 that currently leaks oil. I'm not great with engines so i don't exactly know . I started it and it doesn't seem to be leaking from the back main seal or front. Nor from the piston covers. Right behind the carb on top of the engine blocktheres a hose attached to something and need to know what that might be. it is leaking from there.if anyone knows that would be great.

sounds like a phlenem gasket leak (known problem) remove the carb and look down inside the the intake to see if there is oil in any of the runners.
