on an 87 dakota 4x4 what size cables are needed. I mean guage, length and anything else. real simple just don't know.

 

Positive type
4 gauge; 1 wire lead; 60" length; top post.

Negative type
2 gauge - 38" length with 1 lead - top post

Just go to autozone.com and type in what year and model and what part. This is what came up when I typed in your info. This is what they have in stock.
