Just bought
Hey I just bought a 1995 dodge dakota 4x4 (ish) with a magnum v8 for my first truck!
I got it real cheap (or real expensive for a highschool kid) at 1800. Problem is it has some problems ha. My dash lights are not working, which i see in the FAQ should hopefully be an easy fix. The previous owner 32 x 11.5 tires on the truck, but didnt put in a lift so i rub around corners, I was hoping one of yall could suggest a good 2in or 3in body lift, or maybe some other alternative to lifting the truck. Also I need the new front right spring, but i figure ill replace both fronts while im at it. Any suggestions on what springs will be best for my use?
last why the truck was in my price range the front drive shaft for the 4x4 is apparently out. Does anybody know what i should do for a replacement?
thanks a load in advance

Junkyard would be your best bet on the front shaft. The truck probably has 31's on it if it's not lifted, if you crank the torsion bars a little that would cure the rubbing in turns, you'll still rub a little at full lock but that's it. When you say front springs, do you mean the shocks? The torsion bars very very very rarely if ever need to be replaced (the torsion bars are the actual springs on these). Keep up on the fluid changes and try not to beat the hell out of it and you've got yourself a reliable truck. 1800 isn't bad at all if that's all that's wrong with it.
by the way, welcome to DF!
