If I buy a used computer off e-bay for my '92 Dakota, what would need programed and how or by who is it done ???

 

As long as the computer is for a truck with the same running gear as yours, no programming is necessary. You would need to find a computer from either a '92 or '93, '94 and '95 began the 'new' injection system and some other minor things which would throw things off and '96 had the new autoi transmissions, which the computer played a larger role in.
