the transmission that came w/ my 318 is a 904, this is an LA 318 and the LA was made for many years so there have got to be more options than just the 904 and the 727... does anybody know of any manual transmissions that will bolt up to a 318? it would be really nice to find a manual trans that was 4wd but i doubt that'll happen. i need to know the # of the trans and what year and type of truck it came from. this will be very helpful thanx

i couldnt find the a833 on the site... im an idiot lol. how many speed is that? i assume theyre pretty strong? it'll bolt right up to the 318 correct?

 

what about a NV4500? would it bolt up?

 

alright i was at the junkyard yesterday looking for an nv4500 out of a truck w/ a 360.... i found a dodge that at 1 time had leaf springs front and rear and has a 318 w/ a 4 speed and i think a np 208. im wanting to know what transmission this is and if its any good. on the transfer case theres a round tag that says 208 so is that right?

 

What year was it. On most transfercase tags they have date of manufature. What would you guess 70's 80's was it fuel injected carbed?

 

its an 85 either an a833 or a 435, has the 208 transcase
