Default 17" R/T wheels

Got me some R/T wheels a few months ago and forgot to tell you guys, my b. Got a really good deal on them, all 4 and w/ center caps for $190!!! but anyways, i have finnaly got done with finals and stuff so i am workin on the dak again finally and am about to get some tires for the rims. anyone know what is the widest tire you can cram under these things? i have 245/60/15's up front now and 275/60/15's in the back and they clear fine. i could go even wider in rear i know but idk aboot the front. i was thinking about going 255/45/17's the whole way around, because they R/T wheels are 9.5 inches wide so i dont way them too look funny with skinny tires, and that is the factory size for the stock R/T's i think. So if any of you guys have heard or know, let me know, cuz if i dont order them now i will spend the extra money i have on something else silly....

The 255/45s may work. I know with my 8.5 rims from before the 255/60s were as large as I could go. It'd rub on full turns and bumps.

The rear you can go real large. I stuck a set of Viper rear wheels with 335s on it for giggles and it worked well.

well i started to look at tire rack last night to order tires and saw that BFgoodrich is no longer makeing there kdws tires in 255/45/17, so tire rake had them on a closeout sale for $80!!! so needless to say i got them, will be here on thursday. i will throw some pics up when i get them all mounted. that tire is 2 inches shorter too than my 275/60/15's in the back, so it will be like having a 3.73 type setup in it, but will probably spin like a bish.

You don't want those BFGs. When I used to mess with them they have crappy tread life and I'm sure you like to burn rubber, so it goes three times as fast. IIRC they were too pricey for their length of life.

i was looking at the tread life and they are supposed to be a little better than the fuzions. if it were the regular price i would not have got them, but for 80 dollars a piece you can not beat it
