fuel gauge always reads "E" and low fuel light is on
#3
When the sending unit and pump were replaced the pump/sending unit mount was probably rotated so that the float is hitting the side of the tank. You might be able to free the float up by hitting the side of the tank with a hammer but as soon as your fuel level gets low the float will get stuck again. The easiest way (or the way I did it) is to...
1. fill the tank with gas
2. remove the bed
3. loosen the locknut enough so that the pump/sending unit mount can be rotated
4. turn the ignition on
5. have someone look at the gauge while you rotate the pump/sending unit mount, have your helper tell you when the needle on the gauge reads full
6. when the gauge is reading full, hold the pump/sending unit mount in place and tighten the locknut back down
...and that's it. it took me about 1/2 hour to fix my gauge. The hardest part was removing the bed but the rest was really simple. If you have any more questions just ask.
