Carburetor Vacuum Hose Diagram
Just to get things a little cleared up on the carb. side of things, anyone happen to have detailed pictures of the carburetor's vacuum lines?
The truck is getting close to starting, but there doesn't seem to be any fuel coming out of the injectors. I know that it's a fine mist, but I put my finger underneath each one and did not smell or see any fuel on them.
The gas tank is still on the ground just to make sure that there is nothing wrong with it (and I don't have tank straps at the moment) so I can fix it if need be, but would this mess with the fuel pressure all that much?
I know that there is gas getting to the carb. since the inlet line for the fuel hose spurts out fuel when the pump goes off. But I'm still at a loss of what the problem could be. I've check the wiring for the spark plug wires and they are correct. The cap, rotor, and NGK plugs are new and gapped correctly to .040". I'll check spark later on, but I still believe the problem is fuel related.
Any suggestions of what to check in the mean time?
Also, I was considering the need for the plastic throttle body spacer, I removed that, would that have such a large impact upon the fuel mixture that would not allow the truck to run?

Well if it has fuel injectors it is not carbrated. It is fuel injected. You didnt say what year so I have no Idea which one it is. Go to http://www.autozone.com/shopping/rep...00c15280070e62 they should have every year and engine vacuum diagram. Or go to the FAQ and check the servace manuals listed to get more info.
