Had a small vacuum leak but i fixed that, also had service engine light on because temp sensors. Replaced those and light went off! Excellent oil pressure and everything is just excellent all the way around!

Erie,Pa here, snow fall capital of the U.S. this year. I bought this 93 5.2 LE 4x4 with a 3" body lift and inspected till end of September for $400.00 in February. Been so cold and snowy haven't done much to it yet.

Seems to be the year of the 93s... Got a 93 3.9 here - no pics just yet it's still in pieces at the moment. It's getting brakes, timing chain and a little TLC first... Previous owner bypassed the ignition switch and fan switch so there's a little rewiring in it's future, also the door locks were seized, So far fixed the door locks, found the fault on the blower resistor, replaced the timing chain, front pads, one caliper, got the parts for the rear brakes, downloaded the FSM, going to try to identify what sensor is above the timing cover on the left with a single wire running to it next to where the alternator sits as it's in 2 pieces at the moment. Top looks to be white plastic.

The map is on the front of the throttle body. The sensor he is talking about I think is the iat, intake air temp.

If that sensor you changed out was something that allowed the temp gauge on the instrument cluster to work, I believe that that would actually be the coolant temp sensor.

Yeah, minor brain fart, I'd just replaced the front brakes, timing chain set, blower resistor, repaired the blower wiring since the previous owner bypassed it and reattached the muffler heat shield. You're correct, I blame fatigue on my behalf, it was the water temp sensor.

No worries... I just suppose I was made hypersensitive to the temperature gauge issue by a conversation with a colleague on Friday. He thought his gauge on his cluster was for oil.
