the rack on my 93 dak was replaced about 2 yrs b4 i got the truck but in that time frame the truck was onlt driven about 1000 miles but the seal were the steering shaft goes into the rack has been leaking for a while and i tried the lucas p/s stop leak and it stopped for about a week but then when it came back it was worse. is there any way to fix this w/o having to take everything apart just to put in the seal or is the new seal the only way to go

 

A new seal would be best. But I can't remember exactly how that seal looks like. But if you go to the FAQ there are part manuals that brake the etire sytem apart so you can see where that seal is and what needs to be removed. Also there is a servace manuals there.
