Default tail light ground

where is it, traced the wires forward until they disappeared in the wire bundle forward of the gas tank. ended up splicing in my own ground at the passenger tailight but would like to clean up the origional if its in a convienient place. really flukey, right blinker was flashing the backup lights. 1989 4x4

I'm not sure exactly, it's probably in a bad spot, they love to make things difficult on simple things.

ill have to get it up high on blocks, grounding at the passenger taillight changes how the trailer lights work, plugged the trailer in for the final test and all 20 something lights on the new trailer blinked like a carnival show, changed over to a different style trailer harness that pulls everything except right blinker from the left side and everything works right. gotta be a bad ground on the passenger harness, maybe way up in the directional lever harness if that wire goes up that far. what was wrong with the old old style of grounding at each light
