Angry Starting Problem

The problem is when I go to start my v6 94 Dakota is just keeps cranking and won't Start. When I give it a little gas and hold down the pedal it, starts and runs. If I let go of the pedal it stalls. It only runs when I'm holding down the gas.

Any Ideas?

So I took off the Negative battery cable and reset the Ecu. Hooked everything back up and it started. Is this random or is there something going bad?

The IAC is probably going bad, or it and the port where it goes into the TB is filthy. If the problem comes up again.Remove it and clean the bore on the TB where the IAC goes in and clean the IAC . Remove neg. bat. cable while doing the cleaning to reset the pcm again.
