Talking u need more air

i have a 94 dodge dakota with the 3.9 mag in it.. i started off getting about 10 -12mpg so i ripped out the cat completely straight piped it and got a flowmaster muffler off one of my friends for 30 bucks threw it on and i was then around 18mpg or so... then i bought a $40 edelbrock intake for a V8 (even though i have a 6) and got a k&n filter threw it on and i now get 28-30mpg in the summer...................( tromping on it gets me about 22mpg )
worth every penny

How did you fit a v8 intake on a v6. I would think it wouldnt seal correctly. Did you modify it? Got pics?

By true duals i meant not having a single pipe until after the rear end and then going inot duals. I have i small H-pipe and thats where i mounted the O2 sensor. Because theres not much flow through it the sensor isnt going crazy.
