Is what threaded? Are you talking about the part of the CV joint shaft that goes thru the hub that connects to the hub nut?
Where the CV joint shaft goes through the hub, it's not threaded. It goes have multiple splines.
The only thing that has threads that you have to remove/install to remove/install the CV joint is the bolts that hold the end of the joint to the axle (the 6 or whatever bolts), and the shaft-end with that big nut.
Does that clear it up?

No not really, because I was talking about the fitting for the vent tube that I broke off. I would think it is just a barbed fitting and the barbed part broke so I am gonna have to ez out it, but wasn't positive and was just checking before I start tearing into it.

After talking to the dodge dealership, and finding out they don't even have a part number for this I just took the ez out to it and found out it was pressed in! Here's a couple pics. Went to the local junkyard and pulled it. Thanks for the help everybody!

I guess to get back on topic, of this thread. I Just replaced my ball joints today. I had to take truck to a tire shop to get my CV axle nut off, after I broke my braker bar and 2 rachets. (Good thing they are craftsmen.) The car/truck shop couldnt do it. They had to get the impact for 18 wheelers (looks like a large jack hammer) that finally worked. I tighten it up to what the book said, I dont know why it was that tight.
