Ok so i've gotten some good stuff from the site and especially the faqs but I wanna know what problems or experiences have you guys personally encountered with the 318 swap on an 88. I want to hear any suggestions of things you wish you had done, snags you hit along the way, little things you took for granted, or things you had alot of problems with. Any and all suggestions and ideas are more than welcom as I am about to make the swap pretty soon. So thanks for any posts in advance guys...

I haven't actually done one myself, but one of the things i hear most often is clearance for the fan (the rad support is set farther back on the earlier daks than on the newer 1st gens). They remedy this with an electric fan setup. Other than that, I haven't heard too much complaints, just amke sure the trans is compatible with the motor and that the mounts are where you need them and you're good to go.
