try tapping or hitting the top of the dash, that's what I have to do in the winter with my truck, never looked into why this happens, but tapping the dash seems to do the trick.

Yeah, I've never had the dash lights go out but my tach likes to quit randomly when its cold. If I hit the dash it usually starts working again.

I'm sure you've checked already, but just to get the obvious out of the way is the headlight switch turned all the way to the left?

My best guess right now is that theres a bad ground behind the dash. It's really up to you how bad you want to start tearing down the dash to look.

This is in the FAQ: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...en-1-faqs.html

I had this happen to me the other week. In short, remove the front dash cover. Unscrew the 4 screws keeping your instrument cluster/speedometer and pull it out (doesn't pull out far). If you peek behind the cluster, there are two sets of round plugs/adapters; unplug, add dielectric grease, plug in.
