Default 1990 Dakota hesitation/sputtering problems??????

Just bought a 90' Dakota I have replaced the fuel pump, IAC, TPS, catylic converter, plugs, wires, cap and rotor. The truck starts up and idles fine, but when you give is gas it like falls on its face. If I hold the pedal to the floor the motor just boggs then it will stall. Its like its getting too much fuel or something. I checked the fuel pressure and its at 14.5 psi. Anybody have any advice????

When you replaced all those things, did you reset the computer so that it could learn the new sensors. Also, did you replace the 02 sensor and the MAP sensor?

Yes I replaced the O2 sensor, but didnt change the MAP sensor. Also, do I just disconnect the battery to reset the computer? thanks...

Yeah, just leave the battery disconnected for 10-15 min. It won't run well at all at first when the computer resets but that's because it needs to re-collect the info from the different sensors and then decide what to do with it... so after you reset it try to drive it for 20-30 min on the highway if you can.

Ok.... Just replaced the water temp sensor, and disconnected the battery for 30 min. The truck still runs like crap. Its seemed to run alittle better when the engine was hot, the gauge was reading 3/4 to the hot side. Anyhow, do yous think it could be a dirty injector??? Because when I barely push the pedal it will rev great, but when I push it further than that it just boggs down. It seems like it might not be getting enough fuel?

thanks

Did you replace the fuel filter? Is under the truck, drivers side, along the frame in the area under the front seat.
