Code 32 on Non CA truck - EGR issues?
OK, I got a code 32 driving my 93 V-6 with 144k
It's been giving me fits in the cold - rough idle, won't stay running till it warms up etc.
I get a code 12 - The battery hasn't been disconnected in 5 years
Anyhow, I've suspected EGR problems causing the lack of idle when cold (-5)
But haven't gotten that code till this past weekend - the truck was running/idling fine and the engine light came on while cruising at 70 on the highway.
The book says 32 is a California code.
Anyone got any thoughts?

My truck has been giving me the egr code since I got it last year and it starts, runs, and idles fine.... so my guess is there is another problem. Also, it doesn't matter if its not a CA truck cause they all have the EGR system.
Code 12 is the battery was disconnected within the last 50 key cycles and doesn't really mean anything.... I don't know where you read it hasn't been disconnected in 5 years.
Try resetting the computer and see what codes come back.

My "Chrysler Fuel Injection" Manual lists the 32 as a California emissions only
I know I've got an EGR system, I've got to pull the valve and check if it's sticking or if my ported vac solenoid is malfunctioning.
I was thinking the 12 shouldn't be lit as the battery hasn't been disconnected in the last 100+ starts (book says 20 starts or so)

I've never seen a code list that lables 32 as california emissions only so you should ignore that statement, and again, for code 12 it is 50 (and some lists say 50-100) key on cycles, which is a hard number to guess (there's been times where I've thought that I must have gone over the 50 and that code still pops up), so you shouldn't worry about that code.
