will a V8 out of an 84 Diplomat fit in my 91 Dakota?

I have a very tired 5.2 liter in my 91 Dakota, but I have access to a 70k mile motor out of an 84 Diplomat. Will it fit? Are the motor mounts the same and will the tranny fit? Thanks in advance for the answer. Bud

Yes the motor will. Just swap out the blocks and keep all the stock FI system. I'm not to sure what the tranny would be. But if you trucks tranny works leave it.
