Default New headers

Well i just bought some new headers for the dakota this weekend, some mopar PPH headers !!! they should be in this week hopefully. They do not come with the y pipe so i am thinking about making a new one or just running true duals. My truck has the little baby v6 y on it now so using anything from it is out of the question. the only thing about true duals is out truck only have one bank of o2 sensor(s). i have 2 because its the 96, but still it is just 1 up stream and 1 down stream. so i know some guys on here have them and just wondering how you did it, just one pipe have the o2 on it and one without, i am just not sure if it will work running on one side of the engine. i thought about a x pipe with it in the middle but of the x but it really would need to be after the trans to work, and the o2 as close as i can get it. so you guys got any wisdom for me? o and sorry i have been gone for a few weeks, i had appendicitus and my laptop is taking a dump and had to get it fixed! but i am back now!

*Edit* I guess i should have looked at other posts before i wrote this long thing, lol. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...2-sensors.html sorry guys, not used to having stuff i have not read on here, lol.

Lol, I started a post last night about true duals and said pretty much the same thing. I've been thinking about it today and if you build a very narrow x pipe I think it could fit in front of the transmission. I'm gonna try it when I do the 5.9 swap. It should also be easier for you cause yours is 2wd, so you don't have to worry about going around the front driveshaft.

But in case you don't want to have an x or h pipe, I'm convinced that the engine would run the same only reading one bank as long as all systems are ok. I also think if you monitor the other bank with an air/fuel ratio gauge you'd be able to tell if something fails.

my bad 95_318, i saw yours after i had posted. i got them off ebay used. they are kinda like shorty headers just a little longer, they are the tri-y design, and have regular 3 bolt header flanges so it will be easy to get them for the other flanges. will post some picks when i get them in, supposed to be tuesday.
