Default Ignition relay and coil ?

Hello all,
I have a 1990 3.9 4x4 I'm having trouble starting. I'm getting fuel... I had spark but lost it. I changed the coil but that isn't the issue. I'm getting power to the coil when I turn the key on, then power to coil goes out after a couple of seconds. Is this normal? I'm hearing the relay click then no power to coil. Bad relay or something else? Also... is it normal to have power on either side of the coil terminals when ignition is engaged?
I'm stumped...

Regards,

it sounds like a fault with the auto shut down relay, probably more like an issue with the continuity in the wiring to it. do you get any fault codes?

It was the ignition/fuel relay next to the auto shutoff relay. I didn't nun any codes... we bypassed the relay and she fired right up. Just got the new relay for $12.00 and she works great.

Thanks for the help!
