1996 dakota 5.2 auto 4wd. i love the truck but hate the year. i guess this is the year that everything started to transition and its really difficult to find performance parts. i found a mopar performance computer but it fits a 96 ram. is there any chance that they are the same and could i use it in my truck?

 

I would guess it should work. But If I were you I would check the wiring diagrams and make sure the wires are the same. Go to the FAQ and check out the service manuals.

 

i have a mopar performance comp in my 96 out of a 96 ram and it works fine! and i know what you mean with the parts, but after time you get used to it, lol.
