Painting interior
well i have decided to paint my interior for some reason, maily because i hate tan and everything in there is tan. I pulled that dash out today and as soon as i got it out i had one of those "WTF am i doing this" moments, but hopefully it will be worth it in the end. I have about decided to use SEM Color Coat vinal paint, the satin black color, from what i have heard it is the best. just wondering if you guys have done this before, and if you get a wild idea to remove your dash dont do it unless you have to, not the hardest one to do, but still no fun.
lol, I hear ya. I painted the interior in my old car and I asked myself the same question half way through. Only I didn't use vinal paint, I primed and sanded the panels over and over until all the texture was out and they were perfectly smooth and then painted and cleared them the color of the car. It sucked but it was totally worth it in the end, I got a lot of compliments about it.
If I can give you one peice of advice, be sure to clean the panels very very well both with soapy water and then again with a paint prep spray (especially if you ever used any kind of armorall on it) and use a plastic adhesion promoter.

yea, i have been in the body business and have painted all kinds of plastics and stuff. and i have tought about going the smooth paint route, but idk... i have also found this stuff called SEM soap, it is awesome at cleaning the plastic parts up!
