new with a 92
Hi, I am new to the forum. I have a 92 Dakota that I don't really have the money to take to a shop, and I don't have the knowledge of them to diagnose the actual issue.
The truck has been doing this for a while, and is now getting worse. It will drive fine for a bit then suddenly die. While stranded on the side of the road, we wait for the truck to decide when it wants to re-start. It idles low and giving it a light tap of the gas peddle actually makes it worse. Truck also will die if taking a hard right turn.
I was told that it might be the cam or crankshaft sensor...or the whole computer. Who has an opinion or experience with this sort of issue?
Thank you very much!

Can you give a little more info about your truck, like what engine/drivetrain combo is in it.
The first things that come to my mind are a faulty IAC (Idle Air Controller) or MAP sensor.
