Default Dakota Build

Well with summer coming again i took invetory of everything i have collected for the dakota over this winter. I have a danna 44 for the front a ford 9 inch for the rear a set of 35's a gallon of gun metal grey and alot of time looking at straight axel swaps. I just found out my uncles dakota now needs an engine so looks like a 360 is going to be between the frame rails infront of the nv3500 thats on its way. no progress yet as theres still a foot of snow everywere but figured you guys would be intrested in hearing about the project

hey... i wanted to do that! actually, sounds like quite the project. I would be very interested in following, it'd be great if you could keep us in the loop as it progresses. Gonna stroke the 360? or leave it stock? I mean i'm sure you can pull a lot out of it without upping the displacement... but 408 just sounds beasty for a midsized pickup.

if cash was no problem the 408 wouldnt even be a second thought but next year i hope to get all the parts together to make some real power but for this year if i can get the straight axel the tranny and motor going and i really want to get some new seats. and as it will still be my daily driver for the next few years i cant go to wild...i do have a 440bb sitting in my yard though......

i was looking at a "hemi sized" kit that used a crank larger than the typical 4 in. 426ci "360". put the v6 decals on the side of the truck
