How does a body lift affect manual transmission?
So I have been looking into getting a 2" body lift on my truck. I tweaked my torsion bars to where I think I like them, getting an alignment tommorrow morning. My question is, if I raise the body of the truck, how will this affect the linkage for the manual transmission? Basically I am increasing the distance 2" between the transmission and the shifter in the cab? Won't this need to be made up somewhere? Or am I worrying for nothing?
I wondered the same thing when I did the auto to 5 speed swap, cause I did the body lift first and it put the transfer case shifter too low. My transmission shifter ended up fitting great, but i don't have a clue what it would have been like before. I did go ahead and make a longer transfer case shifter though since I had two at the time (I hacked them both up and came up with this).

I didn't extend the transmission shifter at all (where you see it positioned in the picture is where yours should be after the body lift), and for the transfer case shifter I just made the rod longer (and put a 45 deg bend in it to clear the dash.)
