Default new super bright headlight bulbs & dakota

can someone that knows tell me if there is any problem using the new halogen or xenon super bright bulbs in and older vehicle like a '96 dakota. like how much juice it uses.

just make sure the bulbs are the same but i had no prob with halogens in my 91 integra. i even put them in the fog lights in that car and never had any trubble. my dad put one in his 1977 moto guzzi motorcycle. but just my experience. i havent messed with my 95's lights so i dont know for sure

i just put some HIDs in my 95 and i havent noticed anything wrong with them or my truck

I have a question for you...Have you had any issues in the past with your headlight switch melting? I've had to replace mine twice already. Of course I haven't replaced it after I found and repaired the corroded splice under the hood.
