This should be in the 1st gen section...
Sounds to me like the IAC, its at the back of the throttle body and controls the air flow at idle. Its about $40 to replace it and just as easy to replace as the MAP sensor.

Lol, I didn't notice you already said you replaced the IAC. When you replaced the parts on that list, did you reset the computer? Also after you reset the computer you need to drive it at highway speeds for about 20 minutes so the computer can "re-learn" the truck. When I replaced my IAC, it took the truck a minute to know what to do with it, it won't run right immediatley.
replaced a couple of vac lines that were split idles better but still reves high when given gas and holds high idle for a few seconds then slowly goes back to idle. sprayed carb cleaner over throttle body and all vac lines did not find any leaks.
just got done rebuilding engine, almost everything is running normal, accept throwing code 24 as soon as i start engine. replaced tps, still throwing code 24, replaced comp. and still same code. tried tracing wires and could not find any shorts with every thing unplugged. when i plug map back in shows short. has any body come across this, and if so how do i fix.
