Default Cause of miss over 55mph?

Ok. Everything Electrical I could think of has been checked. 92 Dodge Dakota Truck 4x4 drives good but has a miss, a hesitation over 55mph.
The only thing that I can think is a bad cylinder? or could it be a valve hanging up? 5.2 liter.

If it is speed issue then it would be something to do with the drivetrain. Like the torque converter or the Torque converter clutch lock up or overdrive. And 5.7 liter is chevy. If its a V8 it will be 5.2.

duh. yes it is a 5.2 liter. Did not proofread. I was thinking that something with the torque converter because it was only at a certain speed.

Did you ever discover the issue? Mine has been doing the same lately. 2001 Dakota 4.7L Magnum V8.

This thread was from 2009. Good chance either the truck or the owner no longer exists.

It was worth a shot. It’s only throwing evap codes at this time. Hopefully I don’t have a torque or transmission problem developing. I will continue to research and troubleshoot.
