One more thing... and this was a pre existing condition pre motor swap... If the truck sits for more than an hour, it will lose fuel pressure. When I go to start it, it will crank for 8 to 10 seconds before will start, with or with out cycling the ignition to prime the pump.

once the motor is running, there dosent seem to be any fuel pressure issues and when its shut off and then re-started with in 15 - 30 minutes or so, it will fire right up.

Everything came in new with the new motor (regulator, rails, injectors, etc) and I thought it might fix it, but it didnt. same issue. truck runs great, but cranks a while before it will start cold.

Fuel pump? return line?

You have a return line on the V8? Stock? My V6 has a return line but I was prepared to not have one when I complete my swap. Maybe somone with a V8 here can help clarify for me.

I am not sure if there is a return line. Just something that came to mind. I'll have to look.

I want to say you don't have it on a 318, only on the V6.

So it losing pressure back in to the tank from the motor would only be due to a failing fuel pump?
