Default Random Loss of Power?!

Ive had this happen before I put a tachometer in but anyways this morning i was going some where and noticed i was slowing down a bit so i gave it more gas and it once in a while feels like theres loss of power and the engine and/or tranny dont really react to me pushin the peddle down and in the process it even sound like that and i look at the tachometer and i see it go all the way down to around 200 RPM and then finaly kick into a lower (Number) gear and shoots up to like 2500 RPM and speeds back up but what is the reason and what could be done about it

and for more information it only happens around 2X to 35 MPH

It sounds like you just need to clean and tune the carb to get the engine running better. If the tranny is still slow to respond, adjust the TV cable.
