Electric water pump conversion
yeah, i guess that would always work.. maybe ill add one of those things along with the electric rad fan. should free up some horses right? im not expecting no 15HP increase, but anythings acceptable
Electric fans biggest benefit is when it's completely off, the power saving when it's on can be attributed to less rotating mass, less CFM and more efficient blade design.
The electric water pump still has to move at least as much water as the stock pump, which requires the same amount of power because it has to do just as much work. I still fail to see how an electric water pump will gain you any HP.

And the alternator is turned by?..... That's right, mechanical power!
Ok, you must not have read what I wrote. When a 20 amp electric fan is on (typical draw of a 16" fan), it is using 0.38 hp. When a mechanical fan is "on" (clutch engaged) it is using up to 15 hp. When an electric fan is off (cause they don't run all the time either), it is using 0 power. When a mechanical fan is off (clutch disengaged) it is still spinning from the friction in the fluid clutch, so it is still drawing some power from the engine. I don't know how else to explain this.
You made our point. You ran out of arguments with ^ statement. The electric fans, pumps, etc, have less mass because the designers don't have to worry about building them to withstand a 300 ft*lb of torque motor without being blown apart. They have lighter weight parts and are therefore more efficient. Like I said before, they wouldn't be made if they weren't more efficient because who would want to wire them up for no reason?
People are largely stupid, case in point, throttle body spacers, tornadoes, 45 electrode spark plugs, fram filters, ect,.

I'd still like to see independent dynos, until then I'll stick with real power mods.
Look up conservation of energy and get back to me.
There is not a 15HP difference between the rotating mass of an electric water pump and mechanical pump. The pump is still moving at least the same amount of water, doing work uses energy, it's still the same amount of energy no matter which way you slice it..

I never disputed this, you must not have read what I wrote.

And I never said an electric water pump would free up 15 hp, but it should free up some. I was just giving an example I had the facts on.
And do a forum search, nobody here has ever said a throttle body spacer works on our engine... everybody has said they suck. And nobody has said multiple electrode plugs help our engines... everybody has said stay away from them.
Please research the facts before posting comments like that that makes yourself look stupid!

Most people know those products are **** but they still make them because people still buy them. The argument of "why do they make them if they don't work" is ****.
Show me independent dyno results, until then **** off.
