Default WTB A good 318 with a good Transmission

Im looking for a full 318 with the transmission from 85-87 unless some of the newer ones can be run with a carburater that can either be shipped cheaply or are in the Northern Illinois/Southern Wisconsin area that has up to 150,XXX miles or less on them both that run

I seriously doubt anyone here is going to have one for you. Dodge didn't put the LA 318 in these trucks in the 80's. You'll have to look for one out of a Ram or similar. I would suggest you post this in the classified section of the forum.

Chill out dude!! Like I said before, that would be too old of a 318 for any dakota owner to have laying around. Also, junkyards are probably your best bet anyway, cause you could do a complete rebuild on a junkyard motor for the cost of shipping on from someone on here.

It depends, there's a pull it yourself junkyard in my area that will sell a complete motor for $250. But if you were expecting to find one from someone on here, the cost of freight shipping would be about $500 alone.

how do you go about a junkyard pull? bring your own hoist? there's an 87 2WD manual sitting 5 miles down the road from me that 'ran when he parked it' in the mud.
