Default Found Engine and tranny what do ya think?

Ok so i was looking on Chucks trucks and found a guy that lives not to far from me and has a 97 dakota 318 and 2wd tranny for 350obo. My questions is what all do would i need to change to do the swap as far as electronics. my trucks is a 94 3.9 auto. Thanks for any info guys.

Check the write up by Crazy in the FAQ2.

Basically you need a computer and need to wire up the two extra injectors.

350 is really cheap. Does everything work? Do you need to rebuild anything?

hey now, i am pretty sure i did that write up, lol. crazy just made the faq, but anyways, sounds like a good deal, just find you a 94 computer and you wont be able to use that tranny because it is an electric one. it is a 46re and you have a 42rh. e is for electric, h is for hydraulic. it would bolt up but not shift

yeah i was kinda worried about that with the tranny yeah no the engine and tranny he said only has 36k on it and no problems at all. and how well is my 42rh gonna hold up do ya think?

mine lasted 4 days.... but i also had 181,000 in it too and a very hard life.

well i dont know about the rest of its lift but its got 203k

well damn. ill have to keep looking for something about my year or maybe a good tranny.

i just had my 42re built with a heavy duty valve body and kevlar bands. it shifts great and is holding up just fine! it chirps 2nd gear when you get on it

what would it run to rebuild my 42rh i know my dad has a 99 ram 5.2 and his tranny went cost him almost 2 grand
