I just picked up a rear axle with a limited slip differential in it. Only problem is that the passenger side wheel hub and everything on it is damage and will need to be replaced. Been searching on NAPA and other sites, I am sure I am just missing the part, but where can I find one? This is all for the 8.25" axle.

I also need to run new brake lines as those are snapped too. Anyone have a preference on brake lines?

I am also going to need to track down a 3.55 set of gears for the rear and have them installed at some point by a shop.

 

You can go to the FAQ and look at the part manuals. The part is rear axle shaft. It comes with the hub attaced. You have to install the lugs in. OEM part # 4506 115
Autozone or napa don't carry it. But dealers will. It's quite a bit from them. Check out these sites and type in the part number.

You can get ring and pinons and the axle shaft from the above and from http://www.ringpinion.com/PartCats.a...=Chrysler+8.25

Your best bet on the axle shaft is junkyard. If you have the 8.25 and the new one came from a dakota from 91-96 it is the same and you can just swap over your stock parts.

 

I'm currently re-doing my entire brake system.
I'm making my own solid lines with a kit I bought from Jegs. For the flex lines (at each front brake, and one going from the rear frame to the rear axle), I'm going to get them at NAPA.
You can buy pre-made solid lines at NAPA or where ever.
You might be able to take in the reminents of the old line and they *might* be able to bend it there. Otherwise, you'll have to bend it on your own on the truck.
FYI-- the tubing is 3/16" The fittings will be 3/8"-24 (which are typical for 3/16" brake line).

 

FYI - If you're going to make your own lines, get a good quality tool to make the double flange required for the brake line ends. You can't go cheap on this, I did and I wrecked more line than I installed. I eventually bought another tool but not until after I wasted a lot of expensive line and fittings.
